Jewelry Trees

I've always had a fascination with jewelry trees, but i never up and got the nerve to buy one. The other day i was moping around the house being bored when i suddenly had an idea "UH OH".

I decided i would make my own! This is hard for me because I've never carved anything or for that matter I've never done any wood work before. I had quite the time picking out what would to carve and what knife to use and so forth. Well after hours of doodling and cutting my finger once or twice i completed the task :)

It holds my jewelry very well, I'm pretty happy with it... so a bit of advice from "a not so old pro" if your bored and not sure what to do, grab yourself a pocket knife and carve a jewelry tree hahaha!!! Seriously though if your not sure what to do with your messy piles of jewelry, one of these trees is a fun, easy and eco friendly way of staying organized! HAVE FUN

Turquoise obsession

My favorite color has always been pink, but for some reason when i was going through my closet today (yay for spring cleaning)  i found a bunch of turquoise and blue "stuff". I figured out that i not only have a favorite color, but i also have a favorite "clothes color". It struck me as odd that right after that i went to clean out my jewelery box and found almost nothing but MORE TURQUOISE!

 Geee Whittaker's!!! Even my nails are painted a bright blueish green :) I'm going to have to start giving myself a mental check when i go clothes shopping NOT TO BUY MORE BLUES OR BLUEISH GREENS.

From now on my goal for the rest of 2011 is to try to make my wardrobe consist of more lively tones!!!!

Spring back

Today i went outside and i felt so alive for the first time since july or augest. I dont know why but this winter has been the most un enjoyable winter of my life.

When i was little i loved the winter... i lived for it. I dont know if it's just a phase or if it's because im growing out of what i was. It's a painful thought but at the same time im ready to spring back to what i was :)

Etsy much????

Just recently I had a conversation with a close friend about Etsy. She had never heard of it before and I was explaining how addicted I've become to online shopping ever since stumbling upon this gold mine called ETSY!!! To those of you who don't know what Etsy is either I highly recommend checking it out and purchasing from the wonderful sellers, and the amazing products they have to offer!!! I will post below a couple links to some of my all time favorite products.

1. !!!DEODORANT!!! I never realized what a difference aluminum free deodorant made until I found the perfect one on ****NONE OTHER THAN.... 2. Candles :) I am a candle fanatic hehehe, and so far ive found two amazing sellers who are kind and extremely generous. The first seller *melanie* has amazing lotion bars and soaps also!!! Bookmarks :)

To this day i dont understand why i love to read so much! So because of my undying love for books and my disorganized reading habbits i decided it was time to get creative and make a bookmark. (tell me if you like it or not) for some odd reason i feel like its missing something! Like maybe instead of that specific button i chose it would have been better to put a small bright blue one instead. Any thoughts???

Hello Loves, I finally decided to have a real blog apart from the one I have on my store's page (which you can go check out if you wish)  http://knittingdezigns.weebly.com/

I thought I'd start off by showing you guys a fun little photo shoot my sister and i  had in a little forest close to our home :) The idea was that the pictures were supposed to be strictly "bows only" for my shop, buttt us being the silly girls we are with a camera decided we had other plans instead jejeje!

 EVEN MY NIECE JOINED IN ON THE FUN  :) She is soo photogenic it's almost unfair :D (if you know what i mean!

In the end I only got a couple good shots of the bows :) here they are... The black and white one is called "polka dottie be my hottie" the pink one is "the sweetheart bow" and the brown one is called "your the mocha to my latte"

In the end we had fun. Thats all that matters right???
