Firmoo glasses review

Hi guys :) So I normally don't do reviews but I got a message from a company named frimoo and although I was very skeptical at first about receiving a good and accurate pair of Rx glasses I decided to give them a try.

I waited about a month to do this review so I could name all the pros/cons of the glasses and there quality. My opinion is completely honest and unbiased, I am not being paid to write this review I'm doing it out of my own means.

I take vision very seriously since its something I've struggled with since I was about 12 or so, I found these glasses to be of very good quality and the Rx to be very accurate. These frames were not only cute and fashionable but extremely comfortable (I was surprised because this is always a problem for me)

The only concern I had was that the lenses themselves tended to curve in so it took me a week to get used to them. Overall I am very pleased with them, and plan on buying a pair when I get my new prescription from the doctor :)

Here is a link which will take you to there first pair free program so that you yourself can give them a try before committing to pay full price :) CLICK HERE

Here are some pictures of them and me wearing them!!!! Enjoy and pleaseeeeeee feel free to ask me any questions or get in contact with the awesome firmoo team

Change

Have you ever experienced that wonderful feeling of re-uniting with a long lost friend and having no difficulty picking up exactly where you left off?

I still consider this feeling one of my favorites, It shows that against all odds you are able to make it seem as though no time has gone by at all. I have often times felt this way when seeing family members and expected to feel the same way once when re-uniting with a very close friend.

I was shocked to be greeted in complete and utter silence, the only thing we were both able to mutter up was a limp "hello".

What I'm trying to get across is the lesson I learned that day, there is one thing in life you can always count on.... CHANGE!!!

I fully expected everything to be the same when I got back but I quickly realized that everything had changed, when you find a real gem in a friend no matter what you're going through or how long you've gone without seeing them things will pick up where they left off. Sometimes they get better, but today I just realized again that change is something i will always be able to count on in my life.

So stay positive about things that come your way, and accept change as something you can always count on!!

My life in 5 words

So It has honestly been a very very long time since I've written about whats going on in my life and what not, but I have a little more time on my hands now so I intend on getting back into blogging. Ive missed you all and your sweet comments very much, Ive often wondered how you all are :) Here is my life these days in 5 words...

Exciting, different, refreshing, free and complete.

Exciting because so many things have changed in my life in the past 9 months and it feels as though my life has been nothing short of a whirlwind. I graduated high school, started a new journey in cosmetology, had surgery on both of my legs, broke up with my fiance, turned 19 and found out what true love really means.

Different because the way I view life and my perspective on things have changed so much.

Refreshing because change brings new life and new growth.

Free because once you let go and let life take its course you realize all you have to do is go along for the ride.

Complete because I believe I've found my calling and true passion in life and true love.

I'm getting ready to graduate cosmetology school and have plans of opening a salon in the near future, Ive found that being in a salon and talking with people all day makes me feel great. Some people overlook the "behind the scenes" of being in the service industry. People come to you and often times confide in you about things they're going through and it feels amazing to uplift or encourage them and just make them forget there worries if just for a moment. Not to mention giving them some time to themselves to try and relax.

Long story short the doctors found out why I was having so much pain in my calves when I tried walking or working out and had to remove/release a tendon on each calf. During that time (September) my fiance showed a side to him I'd never seen and it opened my eyes to the future and I realized that what was happening needed to happen before I made a big mistake.

A friend of mine was constantly by my side to help me through the pain and recovery physically and internally after the surgery and breakup. It was so refreshing to have someone who never made me feel like I wasn't enough or didn't measure up to his expectations. Without realizing it my parents pointed out one night how they had never seen me happier and it was then and there I realized I was in love. Once I opened my eyes I saw he (Jacob) felt the same way and from that day on we've been inseparable...

I'm sorry for such a wordy and long post :) it really felt amazing to write this all out though!!! Here are a couple pictures of these months :)

XOXO, Gracie

forgive and forget

Sometimes memories can be a beautiful thing, but sometimes they aren't. I thought I forgave and forgot but it seems that those memories always come back to haunt me in some shape or form.

When i was little my mom used to say, "If you haven't been able to forgive and forget a small problem or hurt, than a similar situation will present itself until you are able to be at peace with it". I would laugh and often times roll my eyes at the thought of a similar situation presenting itself. When you are little the way you perceive pain or betrayal seems so much stronger than when you come into adulthood and mature. I've come to learn that no matter how much you grow up pain is pain and if it hurt you years ago it will still hurt unless you move on.

All these years have gone by and I could have sworn I had forgotten things that were done to me in the past, but when just a smidgen of the past poked through the wall i built up i felt it all crumble down around me. I want so bad to go back in time and truly forgive the things that were done to me, it seems so much harder now than it did before.

I believe this is a life lesson that will one day come in handy to share with someone perhaps going through the same thing...

Brave and free

If you've been reading my blog for a while perhaps you've picked up on how much I appreciate the brave men and woman who fight for our freedom, today I have a little something different on my mind. Please bear with me as I share what has been quite heavy on my mind and heart these past few weeks. Here is last years 4th of July post if your interested <3

What is independence? Is it having the choice to do what you will, or perhaps its the feeling you get when you complete something without the help of anyone. For many people this might be true, and for others it might not. Independence might even mean having the will to wake up in the morning and live another day.

The land of the free and the home of the brave, these words mean much more than meets the eye. When I hear that little phrase I take a minute to think of all those who aren't yet brave and free. How about all the others here in America who don't feel this applies to them, what can we do to make others feel brave and free?

How about putting a stop to abuse, violence, being judgmental and bullying. The list could go on forever, but my point is that we being Americans must display and portray courage and freedom by being an example to the rest. Shine your light on this wonderful day by being brave and free and by helping those who haven't yet experienced the same!!!

Spring in your step

Hello my lovelies! I'm so excited with some upcoming events in my life I just had to share it with y'all :) I've decided to get more involved with the community and try new things I wouldn't normally try. Most of y'all know I had a pretty hard time getting "acclimated" to Florida, well I really feel that things are finally moving forward and I'm enjoying every new step.

I signed up for a 5k run for cancer on May 12 :) I am so very excited for this since I have never entered any kind of running marathon, I've made some new friends which will also be doing the run with me.

I would love any advice for training since I have no clue where to begin, Ive been doing some light training on the treadmill at the gym but that's about it.

I hope you all are doing well!!!! Peace to you all...

Sunny days

Things are beginning to heat up here in sunny Florida. Its nice to finally feel the suns hot rays, normally I don't enjoy standing out in the sun but these last cold harsh days have finally taken a toll on me! On my way to the gym I heard an old familiar sound that brightened my day completely... SEAGULLS!!!

[source]

I absolutely love the sound those birds make, they bring back so many fun memories of going to the beach with my family. For one week every spring/summer we would get ready for our 2 hour drive to the beach, Fort fisher to be exact, my sister and I would seriously start preparing a month or two in advance for our "big" vacation. A couple days prior we would begin our yearly spring cleaning to get everyone in the mood. We would also start making salads, sandwiches, and cutting plenty of watermelon for the trip. Once we were in the car and on the road my dad would blast his favorite beach boys CD and that would be the beginning of our awesome trip!

Now that I only live 30 minutes away I can't wait to have my own little vacation to the beach while blasting some good ole beach boys hits ;)

a new season

I've been gone for a while and have had time to think about a lot of stuff. I didn't like the direction my blog was taking so I took a break and have finally decided to come back :)

So many things have happened since I left, in the beginning of January I contacted the amazing Melinda from Inspiration earth so she could give me advice so I could to begin a new journey in my life. I am now a vegetarian (for a whole month)!!! YAY Its been hard but I feel so amazing, I cant thank Mrs. Melinda enough for giving me such great advice and confidence.

I took a trip to North Carolina to visit all my friends and family and had a blast, it was so nice to see everyone I've missed so dearly! Maybe some time soon I can visit Bequer (my fiance) this march will be 2 years I haven't seen him. He told me he might come visit in September, this would be AMAZING <3 So I definitely have my fingers crossed.

I know I lightly brushed on being in and out of the doctors office for my thyroid, some doctors said I needed meds and others said I didn't so they finally referred me to an endocrinologist. Thank goodness she found the problem and I am now on meds and have lost some weight and feel less depressed and anxious. I'm so thankful for having the opportunity to see and actual endo! After YEARS of having my weight fluctuate for no reason it feels good to finally know this might be it.

I hope I haven't bore y'all to death yet hehe! Here are some new pictures of whats been going on in my life while Ive been gone...

How have you guys been???

easy peasy holiday look

I don't know about you but with the all the excitement and crazy schedules going on I barely have time to do my makeup, so I've come up with a fun and EASY little tutorial to help y'all get your makeup done and ready for all those fun holiday party's. I'm only using 2 eye shadows, both from MPZ on etsy *LOVE* The first one is called black eye and the and the second one is called lady killer... I hope you enjoy this fun festive look!

Step 1: Prime your eyes using any primer you may have (I'm using MAC's painterly paint pot)

Step 2: Apply "black eye" on half of your eyelid starting from the center and making your way to the outer corner. Leave space in the inner corner for the next step, it should look somewhat like this...
Step 3: wet the tip of your eyeshadow brush and apply "lady killer" to the inner corner of your eye and blend it out until you get to the center of your eye like so...

Step 4: now using a small angled brush thinly apply "black eye" underneath your eye like so and go ahead an apply your eyeliner on the top and bottom water line...
Step 5: curl and apply mascara to your lashes

Step 6:Last but not least apply blush, I used 6 MAM which is also from MPZ <3

And now your finished ;) Since I'm in a hurry the only thing I did to my hair was use sponge rollers after I let my hair dry <3

TA DA... all done!

Have an AWESOME time at your party's

A time in history

18 years ago today my parents were celebrating their 6th year of marriage when suddenly I decided It was time to see the world. It was the 19th of December, 1993 a cold Thursday morning when I was born :) I can't imagine what it must have been like for my parents to have me arrive on their anniversary, I was actually supposed to be born January 20th hehe but as usual I got ahead of myself ^_^

All I wish for this year is to spend more time with my family enjoying the simple things in life which I most often let pass by. If I could look into the future 40 years from now I want to see a life not wasted, I want to see risks taken and dreams accomplished. At this current moment in my life there are so many options and decisions I have to make which will no matter what I choose will drastically affect my life's course, I'm scared to make the wrong one and want to confident in whatever I choose.

I also want to thank YOU ALL for being my constant support and always cheering me up :) I couldn't ask for better bloggy friends so thank you!!!
